Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG) is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Strategic Partnerships & Business Development Manager. Our Strategic Partnerships & Business Development team plays an integral role in defining and executing on the path toward becoming the leading sports betting and iGaming platform. The team is tasked with identifying, developing, and maintaining relationships with the company’s foremost partners, including media & entertainment entities, technology providers, market access and retail betting partners (e.g, professional sports leagues and teams, lottery entities, casinos, and racetracks). As such, the team receives high visibility and strategic, transactional, and operational exposure across the organization.
This New York-based role will focus on building, evaluating, and managing partnership opportunities with key partners in the sports, media, and technology industries. In addition, the Manager will work cross-functionally with other teams at FBG, as well as other verticals within the Fanatics umbrella, serving as quarterback to execute on opportunities that drive key company objectives and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic partners, including providing ongoing partner support ensuring smooth execution
- Coordinate with functional teams across FBG, as well as teams across the broader Fanatics umbrella, to identify partnerships and initiatives that drive key business objectives
- Build and maintain financial models or business cases to assess the expected business impact of partnerships and related initiatives
- Assist in new partner pitches, RFPs, and negotiations across the sports, media, and technology industries
- Track, analyze, and measure key success metrics related to each partnership
- Stay up-to-date on partnership landscape and competitive activations in the market
- Understand the impact of potential sports betting legislation and trends on the business and how partners may be affected as well
Skills And Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working in professional services (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, etc.) and / or corporate strategy
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment, which requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Possesses the communication skills required to convey complex business concepts with major client decision-makers, as well as senior executives and leaders, either in one-on-one or small group presentations
- Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis coupled with ability to collect relevant information, analyze, and "connect the dots" to facilitate collaboration across different parts of the business
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas / creative solutions and demonstrated experience implementing those solutions
- Ability to develop concise and compelling presentations and financial analyses / forecasts for senior internal and external executives
- Familiarity and fluency with complex contract negotiations
- Attention to detail is critical, as the Manager will regularly be asked to audit a wide range of complex data points and KPIs in client reports
