The primary objective of the Business Development Team is to drive increasing commercial revenues to support the growth of FC Barcelona through sales of integrated partnership and sponsorship opportunities with a focus on Greater China.
The Senior Business Development Executive - APAC will play a supporting role to the Parterships Director in the acquisition and renewal of Main, Global and Official Partners for FC Barcelona in order to excel at industry research, prospect identification, pitch ideation aligned with the strategic objectives, and proposal development.
Responsibilities
- Support Partnerships Director to pursue partnership prospects within the APAC territory through initial contact strategy, development and delivery of sales presentations, negotiation and contract execution.
- Prepare market research, analysis, and benchmark with the objective to identify sales prospects / key company contacts for potential Club and Espai Barça sponsorships with the objective to build a robust commercial pipeline.
- Development of compelling commercial partnership presentations offers and pitch to approach prospects and partners to maximize revenue and profitability for FC Barcelona, together with FC Barcelona’s Hong Kong based, commercial designer.
- Supports the renewal process for partners contracts and identifies/pursues additional revenue/rights opportunities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams and resources to develop customized partnership proposals for prospects and bring best ideas to market.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships across the sports marketing industry, including but not limited to: brands, football clubs, football federations, sports marketing agencies, Media and PR companies.
- Schedule meetings and prepare, customize and present sponsorship sales proposals to potential sponsors.
- Ensure that the sponsor CRM database keeps updated. Follow-up with clients regularly to assess current and future needs.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years' of experience with Chinese Corporations and also with Sports Entities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Chinese.
- Strategic, analytical, and structured mindset.
- Energetic, self-sufficient, proactive personality and self-motivated to succeed with a passion around sports and football.
- Well organized with consistent attention to details, a strong focuson accuracy and quality.
- Creative approach to salesand dogged determination through the sales cycle.
- Sophisticated presentation skills to articulate FC Barcelona story to partners and prospects.
- Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
