Role Overview

As the Lead Engineer of Trace, you will spearhead our technology strategy, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation across our platform. You will drive the evolution of our backend, frontend, and integrations to deliver exceptional fan experiences. You’ll play a critical role in shaping Trace’s multi-sport ecosystem, focusing on digital identity, gamification, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute Trace’s technology vision, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive innovation in digital identity (DID), blockchain, gamification, and data analytics.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of Trace’s backend and frontend architectures.

Team Management

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering and development team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Platform Delivery

• Oversee the design and implementation of new features, including gamification, quests, and SSO integrations.
• Enhance modular backend systems to support multi-sport/event platforms.

Strategic Partnerships

• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including sponsors, sports organizations, and technical partners, to integrate Trace with existing tech stacks (e.g., SSO, loyalty programs).
• Identify and implement opportunities for strategic partnerships in the sports and tech industries.
